CLEARWATER 2002 CHARDONNAY
Winemakers Notes
The Clearwater Chardonnay was selected from our West Melton vineyard. The fruit was hand harvested mid May 2002 in excellent condition.Following a gentle pressing and settling the juice was fermented and aged on lees for 10 months in French oak barriques (25% new wood). Following a light fining and filtration the wine was bottled.
The 2002 Clearwater Chardonnay displays richness and concentration of flavour. Tropical and stonefruit aromas are evident on the nose. The palate is full and rounded with a long persistent finish. A wine to be enjoyed over the next 3 to 5 years with careful cellaring.
