Tasting Notes

Clearwater 2008 Sauvignon Blanc

Winemakers Notes

The Clearwater 2008 Sauvignon Blanc is produced from selected parcels grown at our Stirling and Church Road Vineyards in Waipara, North Canterbury.

The fruit was machine harvested, gently pressed and after a brief settling, the juice was racked to barrels for an indigenous fermentation. Following a 10 month period of lees contact and partial malo-lactic fermentation the selected barrels were blended, lightly fined and bottled.

The Clearwater 2008 Sauvignon Blanc displays intense gooseberry and tropical fruit notes with a full, rounded and concentrated palate.

A wine a cellaring potential of 3-4 years.
