Winemakers Notes

The Clearwater 2008 Chardonnay is produced from selected parcels grown at our Stirling and Glasnevin Vineyards in Waipara, North Canterbury.

The fruit was machine harvested during mid April in excellent condition. The fruit was gently pressed then racked to barrel for fermentation and lees ageing. After eleven months the barrels were blended together, lightly fined and filtered prior to bottling.


The Clearwater 2008 Chardonnay displays stone fruit aromatics supported by a hint of oak,. The palate is rich and full with a fine, long finish.
A Chardonnay to enjoy with white meats and seafood over the next 3-5 years
