Winemakers Notes

The Stratum 2004 Chardonnay is produced from selected vineyard sites in Marlborough and Waipara.

The fruit was harvested in excellent condition in late April 2004. Following a gentle pressing the juice was cool fermented (50% wood fermentation) and after extended lees contact the wine was lightly fined, filtered and bottled.

The 2004 Chardonnay displays stonefruit aromas on the nose. The palate is rich and creamy with a long lingering finish. A wine to be enjoyed on most occasions.
