STRATUM 2005 SAUVIGNON BLANC
Winemakers Notes
The Stratum 2005 Sauvignon Blanc is produced from grapes grown in Marlborough at our Rowley Crescent vineyard and selected sites in the Awatere Valley.The fruit was harvested at night and transported to the winery. Following pressing, the juice was settled and cool fermented for 17 days. After a three month period of lees contact the different lots were blended, lightly fined and filtered prior to bottling.
The Sauvignon Blanc displays abundant aromas of gooseberries and capsicum on the nose. The palate is fresh and lively showing rich concentration and a long lingering finish. A wine to be enjoyed over the next three years.
