Tasting Notes
STRATUM 2007 CHARDONNAY
Winemakers Notes
The Stratum 2007 Chardonnay is produced from fruit grown at our Sandy Creek vineyard in Marlborough.
The fruit was harvested in excellent condition in early April, 2007. Using only lightly pressed juice a third of the blend was fermented at a higher temperature with indigenous yeast. The balance was cool fermented with chosen yeast strains. The Chardonnay was then lightly fined, filtered and bottled.
The Stratum 2007 Chardonnay is un-oaked and displays complex stone fruit and melon aromatics with a touch of complexity. The palate is full and round with a long, persistent finish.
A beautifully balanced wine that would compliment most dining occasions.
